Launch of Climate Action Plan
Sonoma County has launched the Climate Action Plan to meet the countywide goal of significantly reducing Green House Emissions by the year 2015. Today, approximately 90% of electricity and natural gas consumption in the county is by households and businesses. Launch of Energy Efficiency Financing in Sonoma County
One of the key issues with performing energy efficiency upgrades to houses has been the upfront costs associated with retrofits. In 2008, Sonoma County announced the launch of a program to provide loans for energy efficiency projects. Since the launch this March, the program has already lent $14 million for 355 projects.
